Apprentice HV Electrician (Fixed Plant)

.

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

As an Apprentice Electrician (Fixed Plant), you'll undertake a structured apprenticeship program while learning your trade within a modern gold processing operation. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you'll combine practical on-the-job training with formal trade studies, working toward a nationally recognised Electrical qualification.

Working alongside experienced Electricians and maintenance professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the reliability, availability and performance of critical processing plant equipment while developing valuable technical and troubleshooting skills.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will learn to

Assist with inspections, servicing and repairs of fixed plant equipment.

Support preventative maintenance and breakdown activities

Develop fault-finding and electrical troubleshooting skills

Complete maintenance documentation and work records

Maintain apprenticeship logbooks and training requirements

Work safely within an operational processing plant environment

Attend and successfully complete all TAFE and trade training requirements

Build skills in electrical maintenance, testing and equipment reliability

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team

Develop strong communication and teamwork skills

Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining's values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for people who are passionate about electrical work, enjoy problem solving and want to build a long-term career in the mining industry

With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

This position is based on a 7 day on, 7 day off dayshift only roster, and is residential to Kalgoorlie.

The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
