Position title: Maintenance Technician Apprentice
Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: St. Albans, VT
About the role:
This successful candidate will attend classes and receive hands-on training to become a fully trained technician. The candidate will be expected to take on higher level maintenance tasks as the program progresses. The duration of the program is two (2) years. Upon successful completion the apprentice will transition to a full-time Maintenance Technician.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm

Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
Participate in hands-on learning through a twenty four (24) month internal program
Installing, maintaining (PM’s), trouble shooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
Cross-functional learning with Maintenance Department
Participate in team activities including quality, safety and root cause analysis
About you:
High school diploma or GED, required
Ability to problem solve
Experience using computers, preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to work at high heights, ie. on roofs, aerial lifts, elevated platforms, up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection and proper PPE
Able to lift 75 lbs, frequently with mechanical assistance
Able to lift 50 lbs, regularly
Able to lift 100 lbs, occasionally
Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently
Twist, stretch, reach overhead, frequently
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to walk up and down stairs, frequently
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures inside and outside the facility
Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
Finger dexterity
Ability to use computer screens for periods of time
Ability to sit for periods of time
