Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):

To assist professors in helping students.

Transferable Skills:

1. Ability to provide feedback to students with course concepts or lab experiments

2. Ability to engage students in discussion of concepts in class or lab

3. Ability to anticipate and positively react to the needs of the professor

4. Ability to meet deadlines

5. Ability to receive instruction from the professor and act on that instruction

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Keep careful and accurate records of student performance

2. Evaluate student work and to provide constructive feedback

3. May involve grading of homework or lab notebooks

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

1. Prior physics course work at the level for which they are hired
