Under relatively close supervision, the Biomedical Equipment Technician Apprentice will perform repair, calibration, preventive maintenance, inspection, and installation of diagnostic, therapeutic, and physiological monitoring equipment and systems used in direct patient care. Education requirements are during a 2-year apprenticeship, including OSHA 10 training, Anatomy/Physiology (3 credits), College Algebra/Calculus (3 credits), DC, AC & Digital Electronics course, 70 contact hours of training, CABT certification, and IT Fundamentals certification. A valid driver’s license is required.
