Cath Lab Assistant in Newport Beach, CA. Responsible for patient transport, room turnover, equipment cleaning and setup, and assisting with patient care under the supervision of RN/MD/Tech. In Cath Lab, also handles transporting non-controlled pharmaceuticals to the lab, educating staff on proper sanitizing practices, orienting and sign-off of employees to supply distribution centers, managing sterile instruments with a LEAN par management system, and serving as a department resource and product liaison. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year of patient care experience in a hospital setting or 6 months experience as OR/Cath Lab Assistant preferred. Certifications: BLS Certification required.
