Job Description

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15th and 16th.  This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is seeking an Civil Engineering Intern to be based in New York, New York. This position will work within AECOM's Water Business Line and will support the construction management team.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.

Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering and construction alternatives.

Working in the field on multiple construction sites.

Provide general administrative and project support to the Construction Management team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.

Must have completed 1 year of study.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information

Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Relocation is not available for this position.

This position is required to be on-site.
