Six-month paid co-op for Material Scientist at Philips in New Kensington, PA (Pittsburgh area). Open to BS/MS in Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Bioengineering. Responsibilities include performing material assessments and testing to assess biocompatibility for product development, investigating material failures, reviewing new materials and processes, and collaborating with R&D, NPD, CROs, regulatory agencies, internal/external scientists, and other stakeholders. Office-based role; in-person presence required (at least 3 days per week). US work authorization required; the company will not sponsor visas.
