The Opportunity

The Consulting Intern role is part of our summer internship program within Black & Veatch’s Infrastructure Advisory Business for qualified students interested in gaining consulting experience in areas including asset management, operational technology and cybersecurity, digital, and operations and maintenance. There are also opportunities to support marketing activities, pursuits and business management.

Internship Program Benefits

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks to support business, technical, technology or digital consulting projects

Perform research, data analysis and report-writing for projects

Conduct economic and financial studies for utilities, developers and/or independent power producers

Project development including project structuring and developing/ reviewing/negotiating project agreements

Support technology projects with requirements gathering, process review and development, and testing

Support digital projects with data management, data analytics, AI/ML and dashboard development

Support technical projects working with solutions including operations and maintenance, monitoring and diagnostics, asset engineering, and condition assessment

Organize and file project materials and references

Preferred Qualifications

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in accredited university in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field of study. No previous experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
