Digital Physical Design Intern - Summer 2027

Summer 2027 Digital Physical Design Intern at NXP in Austin (Office). Responsibilities include contributing to physical design activities (layout implementation, checks, and design data preparation) under guidance from senior engineers; assist with timing, power, quality, or rule-check related tasks using standard engineering tools and methods; work with design, verification, and methodology teams to resolve routine issues and improve design quality; document design flows, results, and lessons learned for project use; contribute to structured execution, technical learning, and successful project milestones. Qualifications include pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related discipline; hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus; familiar with role-related engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; willingness to learn quickly; strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation; good communication skills in English. Must be returning to school at the conclusion of the internship term.
