ERCOT's Engineer Development Program (EDP) is a 12-16 month entry-level program designed to develop new engineers into power engineers. Based in ERCOT’s modeling groups, the program includes mentoring, training sessions, field trips, and assignments across 15 areas of study to build fundamentals of power engineering and familiarity with the ERCOT grid. Earliest start dates are Spring, Summer, or Fall 2027. Work location is Taylor, TX with on-site presence (minimum 2 days per week) and remote work available from within Texas, with on-site options flexible or rotated as needed.
