Your Opportunity

Stantec's Energy practice has an opportunity for highly motivated Engineering Student Interns to join our team in Irvine or Pasadena, California to work on hydropower and dam projects. This is a great opportunity to work with industry leading professionals in your field of study.

Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken applicable engineering courses. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to make impactful contributions to relevant projects, learn about the hydropower and dam consulting engineering industries, and earn a competitive wage!

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for a variety of design and ongoing construction projects, coordination with other engineering disciplines and CAD designers.

Responsibilities will include review of construction submittals, design calculations and report preparation, product research and outreach, occasional site visits, and various project-related tasks.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Self-motivated

Basic understanding of CAD drafting software (i.e., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, and/or Revit), and MS Office software

Education and Experience

Enrollment in an accredited Engineering program

At least two years of college education and are within approximately two years of graduation

At least a 3.0 GPA is preferred

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
