Job Description Summary

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Co-Op supports the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility. This role assists with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a safe workplace culture, and supporting sustainability initiatives.

Job Description

Assist with safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments throughout the manufacturing facility.

Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.

Help maintain EHS records, reports, and regulatory documentation.

Participate in employee safety training and awareness programs.

Monitor environmental compliance activities, including waste management and recycling programs.

Assist with ergonomic evaluations and workplace hazard identification.

Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to promote safe work practices.

Required Skills and Education

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Expected graduation December 2026 or Spring 2027.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

This position provides hands-on experience in EHS operations while contributing to a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible automotive manufacturing workplace.
