Kick-start your engineering career with a 12-month Electronics Engineering Internship at Honeywell's Leicester R&D site. Working alongside experienced electronics, software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, you'll contribute to the development of innovative fire detection and life-safety technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world environment, gain exposure to the full engineering lifecycle, and develop both your technical expertise and professional skills while supporting products used around the world.

Support the design, development, testing, and improvement of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.

Apply engineering principles and problem-solving skills to deliver project tasks on time and to agreed quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics, software, mechanical, validation, and manufacturing engineers.

Assist in creating innovative product and industrial design concepts and contribute ideas for new technologies and improvements.

Support component evaluation and approval activities, ensuring compliance with quality and engineering processes.

Provide technical support for manufacturing and product development activities while helping drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify practical solutions.

Understanding of electronic circuit design, testing, and measurement fundamentals.

Awareness of electronic design (eCAD) tools and manufacturing processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with an interest in using emerging technologies, including AI, to support engineering activities.
