Intern - Pharmacy position located in Mankato, MN, United States. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist and performing duties of a pharmacy technician, including packaging, labeling and distribution of medications; preparing and safely compounding medications (including hazardous substances); handling and distributing controlled substances in compliance with regulatory requirements; assisting with drug diversion surveillance; assisting with training new pharmacy staff; maintaining accurate medication inventories; and effective communication using established systems. Requirements: enrolled as a full-time Doctor of Pharmacy student in good standing and having completed the first P1 semester within the U.S. accredited (or pursuing accreditation) by ACPE; or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate with FPGEC certification through NABP; preferred: prior experience as a pharmacy technician; license/certification requirements as applicable by the Board of Pharmacy; FPGEC certification for foreign grads.
