You'll work closely with risk and technology stakeholders to assess controls, monitor risk indicators, and support risk management activities across the bank. Your ability to analyse information, identify potential risks, and communicate insights effectively will help strengthen risk awareness and contribute to a resilient technology environment.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

Technology Risk Assessments: support reviews of technology processes across applications, infrastructure, outsourcing, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and technology operations to assess risks and control effectiveness

Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): assist in facilitating and executing RCSA activities, including the identification of risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities

Governance & Compliance: support assessments of compliance with internal policies, technology risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements

Risk Monitoring & Reporting: assist in monitoring key risk indicators, analysing risk trends, and preparing risk reports and management updates

Data Analytics & Automation: leverage data analytics, dashboards, and automation tools to enhance risk monitoring, reporting, and governance processes

Process Documentation: support the maintenance of process documentation and risk management artefacts across the technology risk management framework

Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with technology, operations, and business stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness, governance practices, and control effectiveness

Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on risk management, assurance, and process improvement initiatives as assigned

Who You Work With

Group Operations and Technology plays a critical role in enabling OCBC's business strategy through secure, resilient, and innovative technology solutions. Within the Risk & Prevention team, you'll work alongside technology risk professionals who are responsible for strengthening risk governance, enhancing control environments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations. You'll gain valuable exposure to technology risk management practices and how they support the bank's resilience and long-term success.

Who You Are

Open to learning and feedback

Strong interest in technology risk, governance, cybersecurity, and risk management

Analytical, detail-oriented, and curious about how technology supports business operations

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or technology risk concepts

Experience with data visualisation or automation tools such as Power BI, Python, Power Automate, VBA, or Excel would be advantageous

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Analytics, Accountancy, or a related discipline

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

Practical experience in technology risk assurance, risk assessments, and control evaluation
