IT Helpdesk Intern - Summer 2027

Position Summary

Assured Guaranty is seeking to hire an IT Helpdesk Summer Intern to engage in AI and automation projects as well as assist in day-to-day operations, including helpdesk support, IT asset management, and PC/Laptop/Mobile Device deployments.  At the end of the internship, the candidate will gain valuable knowledge in day-to-day IT operations processes, incident resolution, Windows 11 enterprise support, Microsoft enterprise solutions, and VMWare virtualization solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

The intern will assist with the following tasks:

Diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware and software issues

Leverage Copilot AI and automation solutions to enhance workflows

Build AI solutions

Document all incidents into ServiceNow (Ticketing System)

Configure and deploy Windows desktops, including assembly and disassembly

Plan, organize, and reconcile IT hardware assets in ServiceNow asset database

Manage, troubleshoot, and deploy mobile devices

Provide QA testing on major IT projects

Microsoft Teams Deployment

Desktop PC and VDI performance monitoring

Helpdesk User Experience Enhancements (FAQ creation, Self Service Portal)

Candidate Background and Qualifications

Student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Experience/coursework in AI preferred

Proficient in PC Hardware (Desktop and Laptops), mobile devices, Windows 10 Operating System, Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and present assignments concisely and accurately

Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently (maintaining accountability over the task at hand)

Excellent organizational and time management skills

The salary for the position is expected to be from $30 per hour to $32 per hour. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position provides a weekly all-firm catered breakfast and lunch (Tuesday and Wednesday) as well as intern-specific meals and events.

Note: Housing stipend may be available for interns who will be residing outside of the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) for the duration of the summer internship program (June 8 – July 30).
