Extern - Surgical Technician in the operating room. Provides preparatory, scrubbing and related services to support patient care in the OR; assists with surgical cases; helps maintain sterile field and transports patients/equipment. Externship aims to prepare the student to transition into a Surgical Tech role after completing the MVCC Surgical Tech Program. Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends/holidays. Requires high school diploma, enrollment in MVCC Surgical Technologist program, completion of the first and second cohort, and BLS certification.
