As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we welcome people with diverse life experiences, fresh ideas, and specialized subject- matter expertise.
SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT
As capital markets and client expectations evolve and change, we have seen increased interest internally and externally in sustainable investment practices and strategies and in Wellington’s internal sustainability efforts. In concert with these shifts, Wellington has launched a number of bottom up initiatives, including starting new investment strategies and working groups focused on climate assessment, environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) integration, long termism, gender-lens investing, constructivism, and impact investments. We believe it is important to focus even more time and energy on this initiative across our investment, client, and infrastructure platforms. We believe, through these efforts, Wellington can grow its position as a premier partner for sustainable investments to clients worldwide.
The focus of Sustainable Investment is to research and incorporate into our investment decisions the impact of non-traditional financial issues, such as climate change, human rights and stakeholder management. As asset managers we invest in the world we live in. This means fully understanding and cultivating the long-term sustainability of a potential investment. In the long run, we believe that investments that foster a sustainable financial system will also be poised to benefit from it.
This role will be focused on supporting this initiative and will involve working closely with the Sustainable Investment Integrated Solutions team and Client Reporting Services team within InvesTech.
