Three-week unpaid welder trainee program (11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Mon–Fri) for job seekers with no trades experience. Program runs 120 hours and is held at Virginia Peninsula Community College (Hampton, VA), Tidewater Community College (Portsmouth, VA), or Camp Community College (Suffolk, VA). US citizenship is required. Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical agility test. Overtime may be required. Work outdoors year-round, in all weather conditions; no relocation; not eligible for telework.
