Associate Scientist, Postdoctoral Fellow, Epidemiology

Responsibilities

The postdoctoral candidate will work under the supervision of their postdoctoral mentors and other senior epidemiologists. They will be involved in a variety of research activities aimed at advancing our understanding of epidemiology and contributing to our company's mission. Primary responsibilities include:

Conducting targeted and systematic literature reviews, including quantitative evidence synthesis and meta-analysis.

Developing a fit-for-purpose risk-of-bias assessment tool to evaluate the methodological quality of pulmonary hypertension studies.

Collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop an AI-enabled platform for synthesizing evidence from the published literature.

Developing study protocols, conducting epidemiologic studies and data analyses, and preparing final study reports.

Preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research findings at scientific conferences.

Education Qualifications:

Must currently hold a PhD OR

Receive a Ph.D. no later than spring 2027

Ph.D. in Epidemiology (highly preferred), or or a related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

Proficiency in epidemiological methods and study design and conduct, including data analysis.

Experience in systematic literature review and meta-analysis.

Experience in using AI tools for research and data analysis.

Record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Creative problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with colleagues with a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Background or prior experience in pulmonary hypertension and/or cardiorespiratory.

The salary range for this role is: $82,000- $92,000

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
