The Corporate Development Intern will support HMH's growth strategy through mergers & acquisitions, market analysis, and strategic initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in financial analysis, valuation, industry research, acquisition screening, and integration planning.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to support strategic decision-making and deal sourcing

Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and growth opportunities

Build and analyze financial models and business cases

Support valuation analysis, due diligence, and transaction execution activities

Prepare presentations and analyses for senior management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration planning and strategic projects

Other duties as assigned

Skills / Requirements

Currently enrolled and working toward completion of Bachelor or Graduate degree in business-related field; finance or economics a plus

Minimum GPA of 3.0 with a Junior/Senior or MBA status

Ability to communicate professionally and interact at a high level with senior management and with a global multi-cultural team based in various countries around the world

Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills

Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Multilingual a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Demonstrated interest in Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategy and/or Energy Industry is a plus

Experience with financial research tools (Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.) is a plus
