A Driver Trainee will be trained by Republic Services to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and then assume the responsibility of a Driver in one of the company’s lines of business (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off). The program includes classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and resources to take the CDL examination. After obtaining a CDL, the trainee will complete twelve months of employment and perform duties of a Driver, including vehicle inspections, route servicing, and safety compliance.
