Job Summary

Acuity’s Internship Program is a 10–12 week summer experience open to college students. During this paid program, students gain hands-on experience, learning through meaningful work while exploring future career opportunities.

Interns work on real projects, build relationships across the business and gain exposure to leaders, teams and functions throughout Acuity. Internships serve as an important early-career pipeline, helping students explore future opportunities at Acuity, including the BUILD program and full-time roles.

BUILD is Acuity's two-year rotational development program for recent graduates, designed to provide hands-on experience, structured development, and exposure to career opportunities across the business.

Work Location & Flexibility

This is an onsite role based in Atlanta, GA and starts employment on June 7, 2027.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

While specific projects and activities vary during your internship, you can expect to:

Gain hands-on experience in Finance Transformation, System Enhancement, Application Engineering, End-User Support, and Agentic AI.

Apply AI and analytics to expedite software development and enhancement requests.

Support the design, testing, and enhancement of software leveraging AI agents, copilots, and intelligent automation solutions with close collaboration with Product Management and team members.

Collaborate with Finance, Data, and Technology teams to deliver on requirements and help translate business needs into product capabilities.

Analyze applications and data to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and modernization.

Own project deliverables and present insights, recommendations, and outcomes to business and technology leaders.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Relevant prior work or internship experience or currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, financial systems, technology or related technology functions.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Ability to work full-time during the internship period

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills and Experience

Coursework, projects, research, internship, volunteer, or leadership experience in Software Development, Application Enhancements, Financial Systems, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into developing solutions.

Interest in Finance Transformation, digital products, software development, automation, and emerging AI technologies.

Experience with PowerBi, Azure Platform, Azure Dev-Ops, Jira, Confluence is a plus.

Proven problem-solving capabilities

Strong time management and prioritization skills

Experience leading teams or organizations
