HR Operations & Delivery Apprentice

Location – Manchester, United Kingdom Hybrid Working Policy.

As the HR Operations & Delivery Apprentice, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities, both independently and under supervision, gaining valuable exposure to HR processes, project management and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role has been designed as an entry-level pathway into the HR Operations & Delivery team at Lonza. You will support the Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement (PECI) team in delivering an efficient, streamlined and high-quality service to the HR function and wider business.

Full apprenticeship training will be provided, with the post holder working towards a Level 3 HR Support qualification. 16 months course.

What you will do:

Build knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle through exposure to a variety of HR Operations & Delivery projects.

Support process mapping, root cause analysis and process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery and employee experience.

Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, including idea intake, documentation, tracking and reporting.

Collaborate with colleagues across HR, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and HR Digital, gaining exposure to different areas of the function.

What we are looking for:

Strong proficiency in excel PowerPoint and digital tools, with an interest in AI-enabled technologies.

Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data, identify trends and solve problems

Curious and proactive learner with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimisation

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Positive attitude, resilience and willingness to learn and develop.
