Intern / Working Student - Analysis & Regulation (f/m/d)

Your area of work

As an intern or working student, you will support the Regulation Unit within the Market Data + Services department. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of projects and day-to-day activities, providing valuable input while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and international environment.

Your responsibilities:

You will work together with the “Team Regulation, Market Data + Services” and will jointly be responsible with the team for setting up a new format to screen pre-defined information sources to identify new or changing EU (and UK) regulations, in the area of Market Data, data as “the new oil of the economy”, and the evolving EU Digital Economy

You will collect, review, and further process information and present your initial findings to colleagues for further analysis and follow-up activities, as well as occasionally to MD+S management.

Furthermore, you will support the team with your excellent research abilities, and your skills in Power Point and Excel as needed

Your research contributions are indispensable for the development of fact-based position papers to be shared with EU regulators and politicians

In addition, you will explore how AI frameworks could help to improve analytical and information-gathering processes (no programming skills required)

Your profile:

You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least 3 semesters of legal (including LLB), economics, business studies, (business) informatics, or other relevant fields

You are interested in the development of EU Financial Markets and EU politics

You have very good knowledge in MS Office, SharePoint, and Outlook

Your ability to work independently as well as within a team will round up your profile, combined with your sense of responsibility and strong analytical skills, which help you to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics

You are fluent in written and spoken English
