About the Job: Join our IVT3 Service Cluster to further develop the core rating engine that powers modern life insurance products. Working closely with product and engineering peers, you will design, build, test, deploy, and operate high-performance, insurance-related software using C/C++ (and occasionally Java), contributing to central insurance calculations such as premiums, benefits, and costs. You will help automate and optimize our toolchain and pipelines, drive code quality, and continuously refine workflows in an agile environment.

What You Do:

Develop, test, build, deploy, and operate insurance-related software using modern technologies and agile methods.

Analyze business requirements and implement robust technical solutions and processes.

Automate and optimize development tooling, build, deployment, and test procedures; maintain Jenkins/GitHub Actions pipelines.

Review and coordinate quality assurance results (e.g., Valgrind analyses) and drive corrective actions.

Regularly review and optimize related engineering workflows to improve performance and maintainability.

Collaborate using Git/GitHub, Jira, and Microsoft Teams to ensure transparent delivery and documentation.

What You Bring:

Degree in computer science (or related field) or comparable qualification.

Proficiency in C or C++ (or another programming language with willingness to upskill into C/C++).

Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Ability to analyze complex topics quickly, communicate precisely, and deliver solution-oriented outcomes.

High degree of independence, teamwork, ownership, customer orientation; flexibility and commitment to learn domain specifics.

Very good German skills (at least B2) in writing and speaking.

Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
