Risk Intelligence Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Detroit, MI

As a Risk Intelligence Intern on Rocket’s Enterprise Risk Management team, you’ll help identify, analyze, and monitor the risks that could affect Rocket’s strategic goals. You’ll work alongside experienced risk professionals on real projects, get a broad view of our business model, and see how risk insights shape decisions. Projects allow for flexible approaches and innovation, so you’ll have room to take ownership, shape the approach, and show what you can do.

About the role

Support enterprise risk assessments and targeted analyses

Turn data and research into clear reports, summaries, and recommendations

Contribute to projects such as AI-driven automation, risk surveys, and news scanning

Bring creative ideas for improving how the team works

About you

Preferred Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Technology, or a related field

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools

A self-starter mindset, with examples of taking initiative (class projects, clubs, work, or personal projects)

Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move projects forward with minimal guidance

Experience or genuine interest in AI, especially tools like Claude

Excellent analytical and communication skills
