Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a student worker for the Facilities Maintenance Services Department as an administrative office support. Duties include Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel documents preparation; data entry; creating and editing work orders; running reports; updating building inventory; locating and tagging trade equipment on campus and other clerical duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Walking or standing to a significant degree;
Pushing and/or pulling;
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Exposure to environmental allergens (grasses, weeds, pollens, and trees); frequent lifting, climbing, and moving
Exposure to hot and cold temperatures when working outside.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno;
Candidate must be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and must maintain confidentiality within and outside of the department;
Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision while handling multiple tasks.
A valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. The successful candidates must complete the Defensive Driving course shortly after hire.
Driving carts on busy campus roads along with pedestrians is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Students seeking work-study are encouraged to apply.
Prior experience in FormStack, excel, enterprise databases, tablets, scanners and copiers are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
Hours: Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
During Semester: Up to 25 hours a week
During Breaks: Up to 40 hours a week
Compensation Grade Student Level 1 $12/hr.

Full-Time Equivalent 62.5%
