Row Crop Production Intern
As a Row Crop Production Intern, you are located at a seed production site in the United States and report to site management, gaining hands‑on experience at a North America Seed Production facility and being involved in fundamental aspects of crop production; In this role, you are fully immersed in the seed production process, working closely with site leadership, technicians, growers, and third‑party vendors while contributing to key operational activities and projects; You are paired with a mentor who outlines your tasks, supports you in your role, and guides you through project assignment and completion, complemented by an orientation session at the start of the program and an end‑of‑assignment wrap‑up session; You participate in a 12‑week summer internship program, typically from mid‑May to mid‑August, at one of our North America Seed Production sites, where you help drive safety, product quality, and process optimization in a dynamic, learning‑oriented environment. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Row Crop Production Intern, are to;
Be fully immersed in the seed production process and actively participate in key operations across the site;
Support receiving and counting product returns, including bagging and re‑bagging activities to ensure accurate inventory and product flow;
Assist with reworking product and performing quality sampling and testing to help maintain high product quality standards;
Participate in field inspections and support field operations such as pollination, detasseling, and flaming;
Contribute to data collection and analysis related to seed production processes, supporting data‑driven decision making;
Support the execution of One Product Supply System (OnePSS) activities in the seed production environment;
Plan, execute, and complete a site‑directed project that impacts safety, product quality, and process optimization, with potential opportunities to contribute to regional or functional projects. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following;
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program;
Ability to build relationships and work well in a team‑based environment;
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
Self‑motivated with a strong results orientation and a high level of ownership;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail;
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to organize thoughts, data, and activities effectively;
Excellent computer skills related to data acquisition and record keeping;
Demonstrated leadership ability and the capacity to be a leader among peers;
Desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, and ability to adapt to change;
Valid driver’s license, with the ability to drive between local sites and fields as necessary, and a driving record that meets company risk‑screening guidelines (MVR reviewed as part of pre‑employment screening);
Personal transportation to and from the worksite, as many locations are in areas with limited or no public transportation.
Preferred Qualifications;
Pursuing a degree in agronomy, crop science, agricultural business, agriculture technology systems, technology, engineering, or a related field of study;

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $22.75 to $47.75. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc (if relevant). This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
