R&D Chemistry Laboratory Intern for Summer 2027 at Hormel Foods. Responsibilities include performing routine, complex, and occasionally highly complex assays in the Chemistry Lab under supervision, with projects that may include chemistry method validation or improvement, foreign material cataloguing, and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) testing, culminating in a project presentation to the lab work group. Requirements include at least Junior status (graduates Aug 2027, Dec 2027, or May 2028) with a preferred minimum 3.0 GPA, strong math and basic lab skills, ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, US work authorization (no visa sponsorship), and access to a personal vehicle.
