The Department of Mathematics in the Eberly College of Science seeks Undergraduate Research Assistants to work in interdisciplinary research on mathematical models in one of three areas: (1) liquid droplet motion on complex surfaces; (2) behavioral interactions in population dynamics of saltwater crustaceans (including game-theoretic approaches); (3) visualization of complex mechanical systems such as hanging chain or sandpile dynamics. Responsibilities include experiments, mathematical modeling, computer simulations, and analysis. Lab experience or video image processing is preferred but not required.
